We touched a bit on SEO optimization and its significance, well here are a few tips to better your SEO results.
- Focus on Topics
Most bloggers focus on keywords that they want to cover and most times over tag in order to cover all their bases. Social media is the medium to focus on tagging, but blogging needs you to focus on the topic. The topic will ensure greater keywords and a more focused view that can allow for a more focused narrative.
Headings help Google to grasp the main topics of a long post and therefore can help in your ranking. If you want people to find their way in your articles, you should use subheadings. Subheadings will lead people, help them scan your page, and clarify the structure of your articles.
- Signal Words
Allow readers to easily scan your blog and grasp the main points within your entries. Having words that go through each point of your post. For example the words, firstly, secondly, etc.
Google likes long articles to ensure greater SEO ranking, however not everyone has time for a long read. The minimum for your posts should be around 300 words to get on the search bot radar. That being said for shorter posts you should mention your keywords 3 to 6 times.
If you regularly schedule your posts your readers will have a clear idea of when to tune in and become more active. Within SEO parameters it also lets Google know your blog is alive and well, which allows your SEO ranking to grow!
